Local Steamboat Spas Team Up for First Annual Spa Week

Special Contributor - July 29th, 2010

If you’re hearing a lot more moaning, groaning, sighing and other sounds of bliss coming out of the Yampa Valley, it can only mean one thing. It’s Spa Week in Steamboat Springs!

Now through August 10th, a collection of the best spas are offering locals and visitors special discounts on spa packages, facials, massages, manicures, pedicures and exclusive spa products.

Four local spas are participating in this year’s Spa Week.

Downtown locations include the legendary Life Essentials Day Spa at 4th and Lincoln, as well as the gorgeous Waterside Day Spa at 11th and Yampa St.

On the mountain, A Calming Touch Boutique Spa located in the Eagle Ridge Lodge is a participant.

And if you’re located mid-town,  All Season Wellness, an Asian-infused Day Spa located next to McDonald’s is part of this year’s Spa Week.

Anne Duckels, owner of Waterside Day Spa said it’s a great way for the spa community to showcase its many innovative treatments. “The spas in Steamboat are really special, and each one is unique. The Spa Week gives us a way to introduce new folks to the benefits of massage and spa services and save people a little money as well as.”

Pam Peretz, new owner of Life Essentials Day Spa chimed in. “We offer so many different options, from ion cleansing, rejuvenation treatments, couple’s massage and body scrubs, it’s just a natural to showcase what we can do.” Ms. Peretz recently returned from a month-long trip to Thailand where she continued her studies in Thai Massage and Eastern modalities for the second year in a row.

Spa specials include early bird massage discounts, spa samplers, the Royal Thai experience and discounts on spa-only products.

“We know a lot people will be in town for the Wine Festival, and it’s an awesome event,” Ms. Peretz continued. “But we thought we’d add a little holistic aspect to the weekend, a little detox mixed in, it’s what makes Colorado the “wellness” state,” Ms. Peretz joked.

4 really good spas. Anyone had the Thai massage yet at All Season? Best I’ve had outside of Asia.
