Local Lions Bring Real Lions to Steamboat! (and venue snafu)
“Rooooaaaarrrr!” was the sound from the Steamboat and Ski Town Lions Clubs members when they voted on bringing the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus to Steamboat on August 4th & 5th. But after advertising and selling advance tickets for the past several weeks, plans to host the exciting event almost fell apart when the circus announced its intention to drill 52 two inch holes in the Meadows Parking Lot.

The 35th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held Wednesday, August 11 at the Rollingstone Ranch Golf Club, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The tournament is a scramble format for 5-player teams and the pre-registration fee is $140.00, which includes the Deck Party on August 10.
