After a short rest on the fourth day, I began my summit attempt at midnight. Three hours in, I was overcome with altitude sickness and stopped climbing. My porter asked if I wanted to turn back. I refused to give up and yelled 'KILL THE MOUNTAIN!' Two hours later, we breached the summit and watched the sunrise over Africa.
